Group Volunteer Trips Abroad
Our customized group volunteer trips are suitable for groups from all areas of society: university students on holiday for the summer, students from a class or university department, sports teams, work colleagues, or even a group of friends looking for the opportunity to make a difference together!
Projects Abroad can offer groups of five or more volunteers the option to design a placement to suit their exact goals and interests. These programs can range in length from a couple of weeks to several months, depending on the time you have available and visa requirements in the destination country.
Group volunteer trips for business, education, and other groups
High school groups
In the past we have sent high school students away on a variety of projects during their summer or winter holidays. Our staff will arrange all aspects of the trip, from accommodation to weekend trips and socials, and will provide supervisors as well as constant support in the destination country.
A group volunteer trip is a wonderful way for high school students to learn more about global issues, a different culture, and gain a new perspective of the world. If you would like to learn more about organizing a group trip and the benefits of such a trip for high school students, read on here.
We have various projects that are directly relevant to undergraduate subjects and can provide a group of students with an unforgettable experience that goes beyond any textbook!
Our Conservation & Environment Projects are perfect for Geography, Zoology, Biology, or Marine Biology students who are looking to get some experience outdoors. Those pursuing English or Media Studies will flourish on one of our Journalism internships.
Our Sports Projects are a great way for Sports and Sports Medicine students to gain experience working with athletes in sports development. We have placements for students with an interest in Languages and the Creative and Performing Arts, not to mention a host of Medicine & Healthcare placements for training medics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, midwives and dentists, as well as many others.
You can combine a team-building exercise with a project that will enhance your company’s corporate social responsibility. We have many projects where we can bring people together to work for the benefit of others in the developing world.
In the past we have sent professionals out to Care Projects where they have worked in care centres, contributing to Early Childhood Development and maintaining and building new facilities. We have also sent colleagues on Building Projects, where they have helped to build homes for local people in rural and disadvantaged communities.
Sports, music or other arts groups
If you would like to participate in an overseas tour where you can put your skills to good use, then we have a whole host of projects where you can coach, teach, or otherwise impart knowledge to enthusiastic groups of children and adults in the developing world.
"St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School has developed a close partnership with Projects Abroad since 2005 in support of its extensive experiential learning program.
To date SMLS girls have worked in Mexico, Ghana, Morocco, Argentina, Thailand and Mongolia. They have experienced an extensive range of voluntary placements in the the fields of care and community, teaching, turtle conservation, medicine and marine conservation. The opportunity to learn about a world very different from their own in a safe and supportive environment is the hallmark of a Projects Abroad experience. This company offers a complete experience with impressive attention to detail from start to finish. The professionalism of the Projects Abroad staff, both in the field and at head offices, is commendable, reliable and totally reassuring to both school administrators and parents as we coordinate these wonderful experiences for our students.
We take every opportunity to recommend Projects Abroad to like-minded educators and look forward to further developing our relationship and programming with Projects Abroad in the coming years."
