Taking your Elective Placement in Occupational Therapy with Projects Abroad

Occupational Therapy Electives in Thailand with Projects Abroad

As an Occupational Therapy student, your elective placement could be within a hospital, a care centre, or even in private homes. Your help will be in demand and you will be helping rehabilitate people who may not otherwise have access to these treatments. You may be involved with disabled children or adults recovering from various surgeries.

As living conditions are poorer than you may have experienced before, and access to medical treatment and therapies either too costly or not close by, you may witness many extreme cases that require a lot of work to rehabilitate. You will learn a lot from your time in your chosen placement.

Whatever area of Occupational Therapy you are eager to focus on, our staff are on hand to ensure your placement fulfills the requirements of your elective module.

You will have a dedicated supervisor who is a trained member of staff. They will discuss specific case studies with you and are keen to ensure your time with them is rewarding. You will have time to pose any questions to them and find out as much as you can about Occupational Therapy in a developing country.

If you are not an elective student or would rather take part in our regular Occupational Therapy internships, please go to our Occupational Therapy page.
