Learn English in Bolivia
If you're interested in volunteering in this destination, please contact us first before applying.
In Bolivia, you can take the opportunity to learn English with Projects Abroad and experience a different way of life in a unique culture. Learning English abroad – especially as a volunteer – is extremely useful as it makes navigating daily life and communicating with everyone much easier.
On the English Language Course, you will receive one-on-one lessons with a qualified language teacher, or you may be placed in a small group with two or three other volunteers. This is dependent on when you arrive. These lessons will be tailored to your exact level, whether you are a beginner or have an advanced level of English.
As an English Language Course student in Bolivia, you will receive an average of 15 hours of instruction per week, Monday to Friday. Outside of class, you will have plenty of time to explore your surroundings and you can practice your conversational skills with your host family and other Projects Abroad volunteers. Projects Abroad volunteers come from a huge variety of countries and backgrounds, including Europe and North America, and spending time with them is a fantastic opportunity to practice cultural exchange!
Alternatively, you can undertake a short 5-hour, 14-hour, or 30-hour course in English. These courses are tailored to your needs and run alongside your main volunteer project. This is extremely useful if English is not your first language and if English skills are required for your project. If you are planning on volunteering abroad for twelve weeks or more, you could also complete a 60-hour course alongside your volunteer project.
