Learn about treating various conditions on the High School Special Physiotherapy Project in the Philippines.

Join our Physiotherapy High School Special in the Philippines as a teen volunteer to gain experience shadowing professionals in a developing company. You will work at the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) in San Remigio, where you will get to shadow local physiotherapists while they treat patients.

Your role on this project is mainly observational, and will expose you to a variety of aspects of physiotherapy treatment. You will get to shadow professional physiotherapists as they treat patients one-on-one during home visits. This will also allow you to learn more about the different treatments of specific types of illnesses and conditions.

By visiting a new country, you will learn about different medical procedures. We have organized a workshop for you and your fellow volunteers to give you an introduction into health care in the Philippines. This will expand your knowledge on how health care works on the ground around the world.

Interact with locals in the Philippines during the Physiotherapy High School Special volunteer project

During your free time, there will be plenty of time to explore some attractions in the Philippines, like the beautiful hidden gem in Cebu – Bantayan Island. On the island you can explore a century old church, relax on picturesque white sandy beaches, and watch the sunset over crystal clear waters.

During your stay, you will live with a local host family and learn about local culture and traditions in the Philippines, and get to eat local Filipino food every day! We encourage you to make the most of this opportunity and learn as much as you can about life in the Philippines.
