Care & Community High School Specials for Teens

Volunteer opportunities for High School Students to work with children and renovate school abroad

Students on Projects Abroad’s Care & Community High School Special projects work to benefit disadvantaged children and communities abroad. On these projects you can make a positive impact by caring for children in orphanages, care centres, or kindergartens, as well as taking part in important practical renovation work.

Many children around the world lack the care and attention that every child needs. Local caregivers may be overworked and unable to give each child ample individual attention. Volunteers are a great help by being an extra pair of hands and giving extra support to the children. You can help out with everyday tasks, education, and playing with the children. If you have skills in arts and crafts, music, drama, and sports, local staff will welcome your ideas for activities with the children.

The community aspect of the projects involves practical renovation projects, often in schools or community centres. You can get involved with activities such as refurbishing buildings, painting murals, gardening, and much more. These projects allow the High School Special groups to work together to make a lasting contribution to their host communities.
