Volunteering in Cambodia with Projects Abroad is an opportunity for you to learn more about Cambodian culture and everyday life while contributing to local development. On the Care & Community 19+ Special, you will be placed in a care centre in Phnom Penh where you will work with children and assist with community outreaches.
The work you do with the children is incredibly important. The goal of the program is to provide the kids with a stimulating environment and support early childhood development. You will teach basic life skills and proper hygiene, and introduce fun and interactive games and activities. You can also do sports, arts and crafts, and music with the children.
If you are interested in learning more about our Care Project in Cambodia, you can read more detailed information about the aims of the project in our Cambodia Care Management Plan.
Outside of the care centre, you and the other volunteers will help with painting and decorating one of our partner placements.
During your time in Cambodia, you will be living in shared accommodation along with your fellow volunteers in the capital city, Phnom Penh, which is perfect for when you are looking to explore together. Your visit is not complete without a few essential stops in and around Cambodia, including a trip to the local markets, national museums, and Angkor Wat Temple in Siem Reap.
This project is available to ages 18-25. If you are a high school student and first-time traveler, you may want to consider our High School Special in Cambodia.
