Volunteers work in local schools, universities or sometimes with adult evening classes, with classes ranging from 30-60 students. Medicine & Healthcare Medicine Work as an intern alongside local doctors and nurses at a public hospital in St Louis. There are a variety of departments within the hospital in which you could work including pediatrics, maternity, and ENT. You can intern as a nurse and gain experience in a variety of different departments. Microfinance Microfinance The aim of this internship is to help the older street children of St Louis, known as talibés, build a sustainable future for themselves through small scale entrepreneurship. Creative & Performing Arts Music & Culture Join a Senegalese group of musicians while learning about the culture and history of Senegal. Building General Building Projects Volunteers in Senegal contribute to the renovation and/or building of houses and school classrooms in impoverished communities to help provide an improved living and learning environment. Language Courses French Take part in an intensive stand-alone language course or sign up for language tuition alongside your regular placement. You can choose from French and Wolof.
