Projects Abroad Make Donation to Maternity Ward in Mongolia
On December 1st Projects Abroad Mongolia made a donation to the State Second Maternity hospital in Ulaanbaatar. The hospital was established in 1959 and is one of the biggest in its field in Mongolia.
The hospital buildings have not been maintained over the years resulting in the hospital having to close for three weeks to make the vital repairs we are helping to fund. The hospital re-opens on the 10th December and we hope the improvements will help the local staff and of course the patients.
Projects Abroad Mongolia's donation went towards repairing and furnishing the Maternity Department and two baby delivery rooms. Every year more than 3500 pregnant women give a birth in this department - one of the busiest in Ulaanbaatar.
